Kevin Russell

Kevin Russell, a Seattle native, is a singer, a songwriter and a talented multi-instrumentalist. Kevin plays guitar, mandolin, 5-string banjo, resophonic guitar and sings both lead and harmony vocals. Kevin plays in the alt-country bands the Lucky Dawgs, Laughing Gravy, with singer/songwriter Mark McLay & the Dustdevils and with an all acoustic small rootsy quartet called Under the Radar. His newest band is a four piece western swing/country rock/blues band featuring Dave Zirbel, Ric Cutler, & Blair Hardman, called The Rhythm Rangers. Their debut CD,”Not Out of the Woods yet” was released summer of 2007 on Jackalope Records. In December 2002 Kevin released a solo CD on the Jackalope Label entitled, "You Don't Know Me." Kevin’s second solo CD called "Trouble In Mind," feature’s two of his musical hero’s Jim Hurst on guitar and the wonderful bass playing of Missy Raines (spring of 2005).
