Under the Radar

Under the Radar is a four-piece acoustic band that plays the edge of new acoustic music. This is music rooted in traditional bluegrass but with a modern sensibility. Using the traditional bluegrass instrumentation of mandolin, dobro, upright bass and five-string banjo, these guys are as likely to do an Irving Berlin swing song or old Ray Charles tune as a hard driving Bill Monroe bluegrass song or classic Jimmie Rogers song. You'll even hear a bluegrassified Beatles tune from time to time.

With musical ties going back twenty five years, these guys have play a lot of music together. The suspiciously tight harmonies will leave you wondering if they grew up singing in the same family. Their relaxed and humorous banter on stage will leave everyone smiling, dancing or singing along (in tune, of course).

Under the Radar will perk up any party... whether the guests sit around sipping wine or all the ladies end up out on the dance floor dancing with each other!
