Taylor and Geoffrey

I met Taylor and Geoffrey on a lovely fall day in 2004 and we started immediately planning the "wedding of the year." Every detail was thought out and custom designed, from the stunning private estate to the one-of-a-kind printed materials and in-room gifts. The wedding date was set for Sept. 2005. Taylor, Geoffrey, family, invited guests and event the fabulous band were flying in from New Orleans.

Hurricane Katrina changed everything; with a week's notice, the wedding was cancelled. No one could get out of New Orleans, and the loss they were all dealing with was unthinkable.

Every single vendor we work with returned deposits or applied them without penalty or a future increase in charge to any other date Taylor and Geoffrey would choose. Clearly, it cost each service provider valuable time, staff, resources and money.

The new date was set for May of 2006. The Napa Valley came to life for these folks; an imaginary red carpet was rolled out when they arrived…they were welcomed with open arms.

The "second" wedding was grand and full of love. The toasts at the Kuleto Estate rehearsal dinner even had the wait staff wiping their eyes.

The wedding was held on a glorious spring day at a private Napa Valley estate. Sage Catering prepared a sumptuous meal, Kathy Hoffman wowed us with florals and special touches, the Jane Harvey Band from New Orleans kept the party going late into the night, Twilight Design's ambient lightling made the whole evening glow.

We all gave 100% and it showed. In the end, it was clear to us as wedding planners that we're only as good and strong as the folks we work along side.
